Leaving for DC on Wed!

Home school field trip!! We are going to see the national zoo, smithsonian museums, white house and national monuments.

I was recently told that homeschooled kids "miss out" on all the stuff PS students experiance.
While that persons child is reading about the white house and hope diamond in a textbook, my kids will be standing on the south lawn, and seeing everything in person. Whos missing out!!!

We have been super super busy. Chyanne joined a cheerleading team, and we have been doing that 2x a week. Her team will travel across the country doing tournaments, It will be such a wonderful experiance for her. So far we have learned summersault and we are working on her handstand. Her coach is WONDERFUL!!! He is very firm and doesnt put up with her saying "I dont know how to do it" when she really does. She is learning from him super fast! The team starts up again in june, and I am SOOOOOO excited! When Hope turns 2, we will enroll her in a team also.

And now easter! We woke up to pretty easterbaskets the bunny left, and eggs everywhere. Chy and Hope got some books, and LOTS of candy. We gathered all the eggs and Chyanne found one with a dollar in it! Then we had an egg rolling contest. It was a a fierce competition, but in the end it was a toss up between Hope and Chyanne, and Hope won. Hope won a dollar prize! We will be going to the dollar store tomarrow to spend our moneys.

EASTER BASKETS!

I made the girls their easter baskets tonight. They turned out so pretty!

I got my 1st grade curriculum today!! I make my own curriculum, and I found an awsome sale online, so I ordered all of my 1st grade material for $97!! I cant wait to get started.

Sadly, most of my science is on backorder. My solar system and earth science, and human body :-(. I am super bummed about that.

I am going to look for a scanner so I can use this stuff again for Hope. So if anyone knows of one selling for cheap :-P.

As for other news..

I made my first pizza tonight. Bluecheese chicken (I am a blue cheese addict). It was GOOOOOOOD! And then of course boring ol' chicken pizza for Dave.
